Wisdom literature. The Book of Mysteries is closely related to another unnamed wisdom book found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, variously called The Secret of the Way Things Are or the Sapiential both texts, the term raz occurs means "mystery" or "secret", and is defined as a type of wisdom or knowledge that is known by God and can only be known by humans by divine revelation. The Greatest of the ancient mysteries are explored by experts in the field, in a dramatic re-evaluation of man's past, using archaeology, geology, history and astronomy. Ancient Empires rose and fell, new worlds were conquered and lost.

To read the history of ancient Greece as it has been written for centuries is to enter a thoroughly male world. This book, a comprehensive history of women in the Archaic and Classical Ages, completes our picture of ancient Greek society. Keith Bradley & Paul Cartledge (eds.), The Cambridge World History of Slavery. Vol. 1. The Mystery of History Volume I, Third Edition offers three major improvements: For durability, the book is now a hardback—matching the popular layout of The Mystery of History Volumes III and IV. For interest, we added more than beautiful color images and dozens of colorful maps—handpicked by the author to be edifying and historically.

First version of this article was originally published Aug - In every corner of the world we come across fascinating ancient mysteries that encourage us to learn more about our mysteries past. This time our journey takes us to North America, a land full of ancient secrets that remain unsolved.   The book comprises some 15 or so chapters & each chapter is actually an article written by an author. Every article is kind of an advertising brochure for a book or books written by that particular author. The book does give some historical facts but the research work presented is shallow/5(14).
