There's was no way for me to read Freedom and not compare it to The Corrections. No chance. I fiercely loved The Corrections and was expecting to love Freedom so much less than I actually did. When Jaycee Dugard was eleven years old, she was abducted from a school bus stop within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, California/5(7).

The Allmusic review by Steve Leggett awarded the album 4½ stars and stated "The Freedom Book is a near perfect set of modern hard bop, ranging just far enough out there to feel fresh but retaining a strong lifeline to bop tradition".Genre: Jazz.
